FlüGe – Opportunities and challenges of global refugee migration for health care in Germany

The project “FlüGe – Opportunities and challenges that global refugee migration presents for health care in Germany” has a broad range of research aims, including to survey the health of refugees and assess any risk factors, identify any barriers that keep refugees from using the health care services and develop group specific interventions. To tackle these tasks, 13 doctoral students from different faculties (health sciences, law, biology, philosophy, theology, psychology, technology) are working together in an interdisciplinary team.

We contribute by developing and implementing an eHealth companion app for refugees to overcome barriers to the German health care system and to enable easier monitoring of health.
