Welcome to the Social Cognitive Systems Group
Research group at the Faculty of Technology and the Center for Cognitive Interaction Technology (CITEC) at Bielefeld University, headed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stefan Kopp.
Mission
We explore how A.I. agents can be endowed with the social cooperative intelligence required for successful human-agent collaboration and assistance. Our research bridges A.I., Cognitive Science and Human-Agent/Robot Interaction: We study human cooperative and communicative behavior, develop computational cognitive and A.I.-based models of the underlying capabilities, and bring them to bear for socially assistive robots, conversational agents or collaborative agents that can be applied and tested in novel human-agent interaction scenarios.
